Job Title: Global Trade and Compliance Manager
Description
Essential Duties and Accountabilities: -Establishes import and export policies and guidelines and ensures broad company awareness and compliance to various host government’s regulatory requirements -Provides Customs and trade expertise in global and regional trade, including tariff interpretation, classifications, duties, fees, taxes, clearance and brokerage, import and export compliance, export control, preferential trade programs, local licensing, documentation, and reporting -Contributes to process development and content management; responsible for implementation and documentation of processes for the company -Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all trade across all regions including, but not limited to various host government reporting requirements (e.g. Exdocs, Intrastat, licensing, etc.) -Supports and assists in special programs and projects, such as global brokerage and duty mitigation and recovery strategies -Manages company’s temporary imports & exports (ex: demos, TIB’s, etc.), dangerous goods shipping requirements, IVL & SCL applications, license certificates (i.e. Mfg. Affidavits, Cert. Of Origin), & all trade compliance record retention requirements Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: -Current U.S. Customs Broker License -Master level Global Trade and Compliance expert consisting of demonstrated 10+ years of international work experience managing Global Trade programs for Manufacturing (FGI) and spare parts including import, export, warehousing, distribution, transportation, duty, brokerage, customs, compliance and 3PL/4PL external service providers/partners) across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific Regions -Extensive knowledge of global regional trade and/or harmonized tariff and Customs expertise in multiple countries required; knowledge of duties, taxes and other typical import and export fees required; brokerage or other trade operational experience desired; knowledge of corporate trade compliance programs and issues desired; familiarity with export control regimes desired BA/BS Business Administration, -Logistics, Manufacturing, or related proven experience (Preferred); experience may be considered in lieu of BA/BS -Strong analytical and problem solving skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills -Exceptional attention to detail Competency in Microsoft Office
